Regional Construction

Regional Construction students are selected from various DSBN schools. Students spend one semester (full day) at a construction site, where they build a house over the course of the five month semester. They work with the Regional Construction teacher and several different contractors and trades people in order to complete the construction of the house. Students are involved in all aspects of the building of the house during the five months. A variety of certifications are completed while students are on the job site, some of which include WHMIS, Electrical Safety, and Chainsaw Safety.
