Registration Fees
There is a general registration fee of $65 for all students. The fee includes a Yearbook, a Student Planner and a Student Activity Card. These fees are used by the school to support the Student Council, to provide assemblies and school projects, and to assist in school clubs and sports teams.
- GRADUATION FEE: In addition to the $65 registration fee, there is a $20 charge for graduates. This includes your gown rental, transcript(s), diploma cover, class composite photograph.
- ATHLETICS: Given the increasing costs of running our athletics program, it is necessary for us to offset our expenses. For the 2009-2010 school year, students playing on school teams will be assessed $20. This includes a ticket to the 'Athletic Luncheon'. Note: a student will only pay $20 no matter how many teams he/she participates on. This amount does not need to be paid in advance, but will be collected by coaches at the beginning of the particular sport season. No student will be permitted to play in a game situation until this fee has been paid.
-
Textbook Charge
If your child has not returned a textbook, a 'neon notice' has been enclosed and this matter will need to be rectified (found or paid for) before a timetable will be issued. Please make every effort to find the missing texts and return them at registration. We would rather have the text than the money, so if the book is found after you have paid for it, we will happily refund your payment in exchange for the text.
PLEASE NOTE that all payments must be made in cash.
THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
Student Planner:
The planner is available during the first week of school from your home room teacher and the cost is included in the registration fee. The planner outlines important policies and procedures at TSS, including Attendance Procedures, School Services, Dress Policy and Code of Conduct. Please review these policies and procedures together.
Lockers:
Lockers will be assigned at registration. Students must use a Dudley combination lock - no key locks. It is the responsibility of the student to maintain their locker and keep it clean of graffiti. Locks will be available for purchase at registration for $6.00. Students are to use only the lockers assigned to them and are not to share lockers.
Textbooks:
Textbooks are issued to students by their teachers during the first week of each semester. Students must sign for their textbooks and are responsible for their care and return. Failure to return the textbooks will result in the student being charged for the replacement cost of the book.
Attendance:
Attendance on a regular basis is most important. The student planner indicates all professional development days. Please use this information when planning family holidays wherever possible. It is very important that you call Mrs. Matier at the school if a student is going to be absent or has an appointment. Thanks for your continued co-operation.
Questions:
The school office re-opens Monday, August 31th Please call the school if you have any questions or concerns.
