Manufacturing

Students enrolled in a Manufacturing Specialist High Skills Major program have the opportunity to take a variety of senior level focus courses, such as Transportation, Welding, Manufacturing, Construction, and Technological Design. Students must also complete a Cooperative Education placement in a Manufacturing-related field, where they will have the chance to gain hands-on skills with employers who currently work in this sector. Various certifications must also be completed in order to qualify for the SHSM certification; some of these include WHMIS, Fall Protection, and Personal Safety Equipment.
