Health & Wellness

With a Health and Wellness Specialist High Skills Major, students focus on a career path that matches their skills and interests in this sector.  This is a program that allows students to choose from a wide range of senior level focus courses, such as Physical Education, Fitness, Biology, Kinesiology, Sociology, and Foods. Another aspect of the program is that students take a Cooperative Education placement in a field related to Health and Wellness. This gives students an opportunity to learn on-the-job with employers who currently work in this sector. Students will also be completing a variety of certifications specific to this sector; some of these include CPR, Standard First Aid, and Automated External Defibrillation.
